You are a Divine Spark

Hey you lovely and vibrant friend, how has it been? I truly hope that life has been kind to you.

I hope you have been kind to you.

Maybe you are a parent and juggling back to school and working, managing your home and career. Maybe you are an empty nester enjoying the freedoms that brings - calling and seeing your kiddos and grandkids leisurely.

Or maybe your life is a total shit show right now and you don’t know up from down. Struggling and scratching to make a beautiful song out of your out-of-tune life right now.

Which ever it is, we have all been in the ups and downs of life. And that is what it is. Life.

In this experience we call Life, I would love to encourage you to be grounded. To enjoy the little things. Really. Why, you ask? Because you are a Divine Spark.

Whether you call your higher power God, Allah, Jesus, Source, Spirit or Universe…that higher source is not just floating around aimlessly or sitting in a throne with a checklist. For the sake of this post, I will refer to the all knowing, all loving creation source as Spirit.

And Spirit loves you. Spirit has equipped you with all that you need to live this life. You may have chosen an easy path or a difficult path; Spirit placed a Divine Spark in you just for this time. Just for you.

Divine Spark. What is that? Well, that can encompass many ideas and ideologies. But for me, I translate Divine Spark as actual Divinity in my spirit. In my soul. In my body. And I use words as a tool to connect to that Divine Spark.

The spoken word is magic. And Spirit is in every word. All things formed into matter must first be spoken. The word is a thought placed into action. And matter is the result of that action. Our words can either heal or harm. Build or destroy.

I would like to invite you to reconnect with that Divine Spark within you. Recognize the Light in you and give thanks to Spirit for the love instilled in your own personal creation. Speak to yourself with love, encouragement and compassion. Speak to yourself direction, correction and excellence.

Let your words be of an excellent spirit. Impeccable and crystal clear, with no hidden agenda or inuendo. Agenda and inuendoes cast a shadow upon the words spoken and do not allow the Light. And bad things grow in shadows.

Fear, resentment, disillusionment and destruction result from dark and shadowy places. If you find yourself in this pattern of speech, you can always change course. Forgive yourself for not loving yourself enough to provide the best possible access to the Divine Spark by misusing words.

Place your hand on your heart. Feel that heartbeat? That heartbeat belongs to a phenomenal human being. YOU.

Repeat after me…

“Self, I love you. (Insert your name here), thank you for being with me today. We did what we could today, and let’s speak into tomorrow. (Insert your name), I am aligned with my highest good and I will walk in that path. Thank you for preparing tomorrow for me, by going ahead of me and clearing the path from anything that is not in my highest and most fruitful good. Self, where there is room to spread mercy and charity, I will show up and participate. Where there is correction I need, I will show up and participate. I align myself with the Divine Spark in me that Spirit so lovingly shared. And it is so.”

Each one of us is dealing with unsaid and unshared trials in this life. Please be kind to yourself and to one another.
