If you're looking for a festive and delicious treat to celebrate Christmas morning, look no further than our delightful Christmas Monkey Bread! This sweet and gooey cinnamon treat is perfect for sharing with loved ones while opening presents or enjoying with a cup of cocoa. Follow our simple recipe below.
Ingredients:
2 cans (16 oz) refrigerated biscuits
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1/4 cup dried cranberries (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a Bundt pan with butter or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
2. In a large plastic bag, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon. Seal the bag and shake well to ensure it's thoroughly mixed.
3. Open the cans of refrigerated biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Place the biscuit pieces into the bag filled with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Seal the bag and shake gently to coat all the biscuit quarters evenly.
4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and vanilla extract, stirring until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat.
5. Optional: If you desire extra flavor and texture, stir in the chopped nuts and dried cranberries into the melted butter and brown sugar mixture.
6. Take the coated biscuit quarters from the bag and layer them evenly in the greased Bundt pan. Pour the melted butter and sugar mixture evenly over the biscuit pieces.
7. Place the Bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 35 minutes, or until the bread turns golden brown and is cooked through.
8. Allow the Monkey Bread to cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then, place a large flat plate over the top of the pan and carefully invert it, allowing the bread to release onto the plate. Remove the pan and let it cool for a few more minutes.
9. Serve the Christmas Monkey Bread warm and pull apart the delicious sugary pieces. Feel free to sprinkle additional powdered sugar, cinnamon, or decorate with icing for an extra festive touch.
Enjoy the warm and comforting flavors of this Christmas Monkey Bread. It's the perfect treat to sweeten your holiday season. Merry Christmas!
Be good to yourself and to others,
Seaora
